We are pleased to introduce La Leche League Hong Kong's new Toddler Meetup!
Join other parents who are breastfeeding past infancy to discuss the joys and challenges of nursing toddlers! Topics may include how to handle criticism from others, returning to work, fertility, weaning, gentle discipline and loving guidance, starting solids and nutrition. The conversation will revolve around the needs/interests of attendees. Any age/stage nursing dyad is welcome at this meetup — you don't have to have a toddler to attend. For details on all our upcoming meetings, click Meetings. La Leche League Hong Kong is now two leaders stronger! We're excited to begin 2024 by officially welcoming Jessica and Melanie.
Jessica is from Hong Kong, where she was born and bred, and has spent most of her adult life. She combines being a full-time working mum with pumping and tandem nursing her two young children, affectionately known as Tigger and JuJu. Jessica has been attending La Leche League meetings since her eldest was born. In addition to English, Jessica is comfortable speaking in Cantonese and Mandarin. Melanie is originally from the U.S. and moved to Hong Kong from Shanghai in 2019. She has experience breastfeeding/pumping as a full-time working mom and as a stay at home parent. She connected with La Leche League after her second daughter was born. “I love the breastfeeding community that La Leche League creates to support mothers. I look forward to helping mothers feel connected to others, less isolated, and empowered in what they’re doing.” |
