Prenatal Breastfeeding Class

WHAT
La Leche League Hong Kong's breastfeeding class covers the normal course of breastfeeding from birth through the first few months. The contents include: 
  • Breastfeeding advantages 
  • What to do and why in the first few days 
  • Good positioning 
  • Good latching 
  • Hunger cues 
  • When the milk supply increases 
  • How to know if baby is getting enough milk
  • False alarms 
  • Potential problems 
  • Out and about with baby 
  • Expressing 
  • Where to get support ​
WHO
  • Classes are delivered by an accredited volunteer La Leche League Leader.
  • A support person is expected to join the breastfeeding parent for the class, as support from informed family members and friends is important to breastfeeding success.
  • ​One to three couples may register for each class.​
WHERE
Classes are typically held at the Leader's home.  
Currently, the Leaders delivering the class reside in Wan Chai and Sai Kung.
WHEN
Classes are held from 9h30 to 12h30.

Saturday 26 April (Wanchai)

Saturday 21 June (Wanchai)
COST
The cost of the class is $880, which is for two—the mother and a supporter. 
This cost supports LLL-HK's work and includes a copy of La Leche League International's core book,

The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding.
